As a first-generation Hmong American woman who was raised in predominantly white communities, I’ve personally experienced the challenges of navigating cultural differences, implicit bias, and lack of representation. These experiences have fueled my passion for social justice, and commitment to creating workplaces where every indidivual – regardless of their background – feels seen, heard, valued, and celebrated. I dedicate my work to amplifying the voices of underrepresented groups, dismantling systemic barriers, and providing the support, resources, and mentorship needed for people to thrive both personally and professionally.
Hey there! I’m originally from California but grew up in Wisconsin where I developed a lifelong love for community, resilience, and social justice. As the second‑youngest of nine children raised by a single mother who arrived here as a Hmong refugee of The Secret War, I learned early the power of perseverance, empathy, and the importance of creating opportunities for others.
I’ve worked in the human resources and talent space for over eight years now specifically in education, nonprofit, and corporate industries. I am currently the Director of Recruitment & Talent Development at a large school district, partnering with leadership to build inclusive cultures, develop high‑impact talent strategies, and unlock individual potential. I also teach Business Management and Leadership Development at the associate degree level, guiding emerging professionals toward meaningful and purpose‑driven careers.
My coaching and leadership philosophy is informed by my INFP personality type, Enneagram 3/5 orientation (I go back and forth between these two), and CliftonStrengths of Relator, Ideation, Intellection, Individualization, and Futuristic.
